The PowePoint Presentation

Um.. Well let me see.. it took me so long to prepare for this assignment.Specially the oral part cause i have a tendancy to stutter.. words at times out of nervousness so yea... My Brand was on Versace.I think i did pretty good.
Something I learnt from this assigment was that preparation is everything. Without Preparing you cannot present anything everything you say will be confusing
SO from next time take notes put them in jot notes and put on your slide and talk in relation to what you have there.
The presentations i really found were good were dole,coca-cola, both the mc donald's and american eagle also heinz.
The others were a bit confusing either it had too much information up there or the presenter was not talking in his own words and was stuck to their paper like glue.

My Brand choices for my Power Point Presentation!

So far i havent really decided what brand to do i probably may do either versace or armani or even life or nike.
I think i'm going to for the one which is more popular and widely available around canada atleast here in Toronto.
Plus we have a TEST!! ON FRIDAY!!! This friday the 20th of Oct. So much preparing on binary code and computer components. Best of Luck to all those who have take this test! I need some luck too!

The Power Point Presentation

Yesterday we got were told about all the icons and settings you have in powerpoint. We were told how its better to have your own independant slide with your own design. Sp we were given a project to do it has to have 4 slides. And the your presentation is supposed to be about any kind of brand. you are not allowed to read off. You may state key points and then use them as your guide while you present. There should be only points no paragraphs! Main focus is on how you present not on the looks or information that is on your slide show.

Article 2

This is my second article its related with global warming. The link is:
What this article talks about how the goverment is worried that global warming will play a part of elections messing his/her chances to success. So what will be focused on for the upcoming weeks is probably technology that can capture gases to prevent any coming disaster as well as mechanism that can produce energy despite using fossil fuels. Things related to cleaning up this planet into a clean environment may come up. So scientists will be at the constant aid of the goverment to get them out of the political issues.

The summary assign.

Today in class we were given a summary assignment. We are to go the homepage and find the EBSCO link go there, click on student research andtype in death by powerpoint. There we find an article and we are to write a summary of that article and another article. The link for the first article is :
http://web.ebscohost.com/src/detail?vid=71&hid=108&sid=44795ac0-5f9a-4884-8808-0f63d73a6736%40sessionmgr107

People often take the misunderstanding that when you present you must give full information and say everything there is to know about the subject. What should rise is discussions and questions proving that your presentation is of interest.People take the help of softwares such as powerpoint. By now almost everyone has a idea what will be in a presentation, pictures, sound, effects and other exess detail. The author of this article tells us about ways to improve our presenting skills and to avoid such situations.
1) A typical powerpoint slide has a linear structure. This may contain audio, videos, images titles. This format is known to almost everyone. What one must try to do is gain the attention of the viewers by doing something different. Don't follow this format.
2)Most people make their presentation like books and or written materials . For the viewers, their minds cannot process that much information as they can by reading. Try to make a summary of what you know from text conclusions. Whatever you know from the written report use them as guidelines to help present.
3) It is nearly impossible to share all your knowledge in a presentation since there are time limits. So what must be focused on is just the main points the imporatant information should get to the audience for about a minute. Then you can discuss their question, expalin examples to help them understand.
4)One must not read of slides. This will make the audience bored since they are read it before you started. You may use each slide as a guideline. Your presentation and your slide have to be in relation to each other. Otherwise it will make no sense.
5)You must make sure that the viewers are focused on you and you keep intact on the information you share, so later you can answer their questions. Two ways to help you do so are: Don't talk about the main points so questions are asked on those or have friends ask questions that are of imporatance which you will be prepared for.

Continuation on client 3

I have finally chosen 3 different choices for my third client.
This person is an artist therefore he want to create images, as well videos. He also wants to be able to play the latest internet games. As well as use the internet for VOIP meaning(voice over internet protocol). The links to these computers are as follows:
1) http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2108759&sku=G153-GT5032
This means since he has most of his work or interests in graphics he will need a really high quality graphic card so his images and videos turn out well developed. Also in enable to play computer games he must be able to view everything that the game contains characters, scenery, enemies etc. A low quality will do no good and this artist will not be alble to progress in his work something will go wrong while he's trying to play or create any visuals.
The first computer is called an eMachines Intel Pentium 4 With EM64T 2.93GHz Computer. this computer costs $479.95
Information:
-contains features for lots of multimedia and computing applications
-it has fast performance
-has software that is included such as Microsoft Works 8.5, Microsoft Office 2003 Student Teacher Edition trial , Microsoft Money 2006, Microsoft Encarta Online, Adobe Reader 7, CyberLink PowerDVD,CyberLink Power2Go (DVD Burn), Microsoft Windows Media Player 10, Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition 2006, RealNetworks RealPlayer, Quicktime, Napster 3.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL 9.0 , Google Toolbar, McAfee Internet Security Suite, eMachines BigFix

Client 2 notes

For the third second client, the teacher who is only interested in emailing and marking i would suggest a simple computer with all the basic properties.
which would mean it should have a good memory and harddrive as well as a well functioning system.
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10077278&catid this computer does go with the teahcer's needs but im not yet sure have to to do further research in order to know the exact kind that will guranty to whatever the teacher had asked for

The assignment that we got(Proj #2)

We have just received a new project where we take on the role of a computer consultant who gets paid for recommending computers for buyers that are interested in purchasing. There are going to be three clients each have different needs according to their requirement you need to see what computer will suit them.

You will have to select three systems (low, medium and high end) fro each customer. What has to be done is that each system that you chose will need an explanation as to why you chose them. THE BETTER YOU EXPLAIN THE MARKS WILL BE BETTER!

These are your 3 customers:

Client one: A student who is entering high school needs a computer for playing games and doing homework. Also seems to be interested in music. They can't offer much.

Client two: A teacher who needs a computer for emailing and marking school work. They do not want to spend than what is needed.

Client three: An artsist wants to create a videos and photographs, also wants to be able to play the latest internet games and also for voice over internet protocol (voip).

**In order to be able to gather the information necessary we have to use the two websites one is the Future Shope website (http://www.futureshop.ca) and the other one is the TigerDirect website (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/).

**We can either just choose a system or we can either choose all the different components of the computer and make one of our own which gives us extra marks.

Jot Notes for the Project Client 3

For the third client ive found information on one kind of computer need to do further research in order to know whats the right kind for each client here is that link: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2205348&CatId=2237

so far this is the computer that i think suits the client no. 3 since he is an artist this would mean he has a pretty good income which would mean his job is done well. So if he needs a computer it has to be the computer with best graphics, sound, memory and a well functioned system.

The parts that this system must have are: PCI slots so upgrading certain components will be easy. Good memory so lots a work can be saved as well a capacity so that would mean how much the sytem can take.Since this person also want to play games he will need a good graphics card because his profession means that it contains something to do with graphics. Also a very good sound card is a must because he needs it for VOIP.

another computer that may suit to this clients needs is

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10076548&catid=10607

another certain page that contains information on the video cards so if necessary for an upgrade in graphics these will come in help.
